Amish Country Weekend

We will be staying at the Red Caboose Motel in Ronks, PA Friday and Saturday. Each room is actually a train caboose! There is a restaurant on site where we will be eating Friday night. On Saturday night we will go to Millers Smorgasbord only a few miles away.

Day 1: Depart 8:00 am from Williams Harley-Davidson.
Approximately 200 mile country ride through PA including The PA Tail of the Dragon, a scenic and challenging ride through turns and hills. Two HD dealership visits are planned. Dinner at the on-site Casey Jone’s restaurant at the hotel.

Day 2:  Start the day with a scenic ride through Lancaster County over covered bridges with a stop at a scenic overlook over the Susquehanna River.  Take a steam train ride at the Strasburg Railway, or optionally visit the PA Train Museum on site.  Visit Country Knives or Kitchen Kettle Village and Lapp Valley Farm for their famous Ice Cream.  If time allows finish the day with a visit to Lancaster Harley Davidson.  Dinner at one of the famous Smorgasbords.

Day 3: Ride country roads back to Hunterdon County

A block of cabooses has been reserved as follows. The hotel has extended a group 10% discount:
2 couples cabooses - one double bed - $125.10 per night
8 double double cabooses - larger with two double beds - $188.10 per night, good for sharing

The hotel will hold these rooms until June 30, then they will be released back into their inventory, so please call and reserve before they are released. If these fill I will try to arrange with the hotel whatever room types they have left. There is also a small Inn on the property.
